Pitched-Bottom Drilling Bucket

Champion’s Pitched-Bottom Drilling Bucket works best in hard soil and cobble applications. The pitched-bottom bucket augers are made from flat plate, hot-formed into Champion’s unique shape.

Closely resembling the tip of a metalworking drill bit, the pitched bucket bottom allows smoother material flow into the bucket and larger openings than comparable tools. The pitched-bottom drilling bucket is the most aggressive drilling bucket on the market and is able to handle the largest diameter rock. Available in sizes up to 12 feet in diameter and available with either manual or automatic dumping.

Spin-Bottom Drilling Bucket

The spin-bottom drilling bucket is available in either single or double opening configurations. The spin-bottom drilling bucket also provides full containment, closing tightly, so that all spoils can be transferred to the surface.

Spin-Bottom Clean Out Bucket

The spin-bottom clean out bucket is a new tool for cleaning out the bottoms of wet or dry shafts. Due to its design, the drill rig operator will always be certain whether the spin bottom is closed or open, so there is no chance of spilling spoils back into the slurry.

Reamers

Buckets may be equipped with reamers, and the reamer may have many types of cutting bits. Expandable reamer blades may be incorporated into large auger buckets to facilitate the cutting of larger diameter holes than the actual bucket size. Expandable reamer blades will be either the swing-out or slide-out type. Reamers are available for bucket sizes from 24 up to 60 inches (60 to 152 cm) and may be equipped with the specific type of cutter bits required for the job.
