Today’s powerful hydraulic rigs need stronger foundation drilling augers and bigger teeth. Champion’s rock augers fulfill this need and are ideal for use in consolidated or fractured rock. They are highly rugged and versatile and can be used to dig from hole top to bottom in even the most difficult ground conditions.

Our augers feature Champion’s patented, self-rotating carbide teeth set in an optimal configuration for maximized cutting efficiency. This enables operators to achieve penetration rates of as much as two to five times higher than conventional rock augers in solid rock.

Our patented auger design has a rotatable cutting bit that’s mounted and displaced, which creates an attack angle between 90° – 120°, and a skew angle between 5° – 40°. The cutting bit has a convex front face and relief rake angles that vary along the perimeter of the cutting edge.

Champion Rock Augers are available in double or single cutter flight configurations and range from 6in – 60in (15cm -152cm) in diameter. The augers are protected by U.S. and PCT International Patents, with additional patents currently pending.

Champion Tapered Augers

Set with rotating carbide teeth, Champion’s tapered augers provide balanced cutting action in extremely hard rock. In cobbles or boulders, the augers offer unmatched rooting and displacement action. They are suitable for use in tough drilling applications and provide operators with increased versatility in hole diameters ranging from 18in – 48in (46cm – 122cm).
